Phoenix Aid

Phoenix–Aid Inc. (Oshkosh) has created a new type of wound dressing made from a special nanomaterial. Their first focus is helping people with diabetic foot ulcers – painful wounds that are common, hard to heal, and often get infected. Right now, many patients, especially in underserved areas, still rely on simple gauze and ointments. The current treatments are expensive (often more than $24 a day) and complicated, requiring up to 11 steps, yet they only last one to two days. Phoenix–Aid’s solution is designed to be easier to use, more comfortable, and much more affordable (around $8 a day), while speeding up healing, preventing infections, and improving patient comfort.
